Caucasian Carpets
Caucasian region counts with a great cultural and linguistic richness. Different ethnical groups settled in this region speak more than 80 languages. This cultural richness is reflected in to a wide range of varieties and styles of carpets.
The majority of these styles are created of pure sheep's wool and weaved with what is called the turkish knot.
All the designs are inspired from and created using the traditional forms and symbols and they are renamed after their cities of origin: Sumak, Karabag, Azerbaijan, Kurdas, Turkomen, Shirvan, Kuba, etc.
