The Indian carpets are characterised by their colorful designs and even though they were inherited from the Persian tradition, they are totally opposite in the distribution of the forms which is totally asymmetric. Simple floral forms are preferred as ornaments. The knot used is the persian and normally they are weaved of silk and wool. The most valuable Indian carpet is the one known was Kashmir, originally from the region of Cachemire where the wool produced has a soft and brilliant texture which is also the main distinctive character of Indian carpets.
